Identity Theft
What to do If you become or are a victim of identity theft.
Follow these steps:
1.) File a police report, since this is considered a crime. This is necessary in order for the credit bureaus to investigate this properly and thoroughly.

2.) You need to call one of the credit bureaus to place fraud alerts on your credit files.
Whichever credit bureau you call is responsible for contacting the other 2 bureaus to update them on this status. Over the next 90 days, when your credit is pulled, a lender will reach out to you directly to verify that you’ve recently applied for credit of some sort.
3.) You need to contact your bank, credit union, credit card issuer etc. to let them know that the account in question has been compromised to immediately have that/those accounts permanently closed to avoid further damages.
4.) You will need to provide Fraire Financial with the police report. We will include this police report with your dispute letter, challenging these unauthorized charges/accounts on your credit reports. A letter will go to each bureau that reported this account.
